18 days since the last update…
Been busy with projects, WoW, shopping, and some other personal stuff. Not that I don’t want to update, there just isn’t anything much to write about regarding daily stuff – school’s as boring as it gets, back home it’s books/assignments/WoW and the cycle goes on…
I do notice that this blog is still getting hits from some of you, and I do apologise for the severe lack of updates!! I’ll try to write more often. TRY.
Pardon the sudden disappearance, Mum was hospitalised over the past three days.
Hospitals are like the new hotels – Mum’s ward was basically the size of a typical hotel room, only more spacious and comes with a full window view. It even has a gigantic sofa that can be rented at $5/night if any family member wishes to stay over…
The only catch? The hospital bill came out to about $2,000.
Three years on, and I still get surprised with pieces from the past – more recently, an old class photo taken back in Fairfield with certain people I could possibly have chose to dislike for, say, the next 60 years down the road or so. Well obviously I’m not dumb enough to do such a thing, the fact that I can hardly remember anything during upper secondary should be evident enough.
I told myself to let go of everything since graduating from Fairfield, presuming life in Ngee Ann was going to be smooth-sailing - it sure as hell wasn’t (at least for the later part of it). Don’t expect me to go into details about this, although I think it’s a pretty awesome consolation for having such a nice timetable for year 3 – not that awesome, but I’m really contented with it.
Oh, and to the selective few whom we’ve shown mutual dislike towards each other, grow up. You probably haven’t realised (and probably won’t), but if the person who started all the bullshit couldn’t even get his facts right, how much truth could you possibly have heard? And yes, even until today I still get a good laugh from trying to recall how he calls himself Bastard (insert surname here) and thinks it’s so cool. Talk about disrespecting yourself and your family.
I feel so much better right now already.
To save up more for a D-SLR, or go with a compact digital camera?
My intestines are gonna turn inside out at the rate I’m getting a nervous breakdown from the start of semester tomorrow.
Into the final week of work…
This is like probably the first holiday I’ve spent my time on something worthwhile, and the only time I don’t have to worry where the money’s going to. Feeling pretty accomplished, the first four-digit paycheck I’m gonna get for working during the semestral break (:
I think I’ll miss sitting by that window.
Durex (or any other company) should make some new lubricant that’s suitable for sore throats. The ones you see now are, well, not meant to be consumed…
It hurts like a b*tch when you swallow food, I swear.
Add some random coughing with that, and you’ll feel like dying.
Better not turn out to be some infection though.
Was down with fever and sore throat since Thursday night.
Went for Good Friday service, the guys had soccer training after that. I’d go, but I just had to take a much-needed rest from falling ill and an entire month of work – fatigue. Sorry about that guys!
Still having giddy spells every now and then, even Mum said my face was flushed red last night. Hopefully it subsides by tomorrow morning I guess.
Oh, and it feels good to be able to sleep 12 hours straight.
I just realised the family hasn’t gone grocery shopping for almost an entire month, last I remembered it was before I started work. Good thing I spend more than half my waking hours out of the house, or I’d be starved to death by now.
Dad’s probably the only one smiling from this, considering how each trip comes up to about $150 and it used to be a weekly thing. And I’m not exactly very happy to see an empty cupboard with nothing to munch on.
Lunch with Enshao, Mabel & Geraldine earlier on at Crystal Jade (Holland Village).
Had a little too many xiao long bao’s, I think.
